Can you believe that it’s only the second episode and already it’s clear how much of an improvement this season is? Season 10 wanted to celebrate a decade of Drag Race and they’re doing that. There is not a dull moment to be found here and I’m living for all of it. I’m living, I’m dying, I need medication to help me cope with it all. Let’s talk about some of the highlights this week.
So if there is one thing that anyone who has read my writing could work out about me, it’s that I’m not exactly a subtle person. I couldn’t do subtle to save my life. What you may not know is just how small of a website this is. In the first year of writing, I had about 1500 views, a peak month in November when I had 400 views and my best article was my mother! review which sat at a very tidy 100 views. I’m not even big enough to be considered small, but I enjoy this and hope that in the future I’ll be able to do more of this kind of work. Now, why am I writing this? Why am I bothering you with something that seems so congratulatory even when there is nothing to congratulate me about. Well, because I’ve clearly somehow made it to the big leagues because this right here is a paid editorial. Or at least, it would be if I accepted the payment.
TL:DR version: Media Top tried to get me to write an article for them, I got a ton of information about the process they use in order to dupe unsuspecting bloggers and decided to share it with as many people as I possibly can!
Strap yourself in, this is going to be a long one but I promise you it’s worth your time.
Oh god, are we back already? It’s not even been a full week and already there’s more Drag Race. I’m going to be completely honest, I was wiped out after All Stars 3. The finale of that season put me in a funk, I felt like all my enthusiasm had been torn from my body and I was just going to be a withered husk of a human being until about midway through the season. Baby, Season 10’s premiere episode revived me, renewed me, rejuvenated me and returned me to the bubbly effervescent being you’re reading right now. You might not be able to see it but I promise you that, right now, I’m lactating with excitement for this season.

So, who else is still gagging over what happened last week? I was so gagged that it actually lowered my immune system and gave me the flu, that is how intense the gag of last week was. This week though, we have so much to talk about and I better get to talking about it before I make another 4000-word review on a 40-minute show. Lord help me in two weeks when Season 10 starts.
Before we begin, yes I changed the name. I called this series “Another RuCap” because everyone and their mother does “RuView”, but that also made me fall into bad habits which we will now try to rectify. When my last RuCap went up there was some discussion about it over on Reddit regarding my professionalism and format choices which I’d like to quickly address before getting into the actual review. Let me state, explicitly, that I am very unprofessional (The lack of money will attest to my unprofessional status) but I’m working on fixing that. It’s a slow process and I only learn how to be better if people tell me something is wrong. So, for the record, if you see areas where I could improve then please tell me. Do not be afraid to critique my critique, it’s the only way I’m going to improve as a writer and a critic. People critiquing my critique is why this week we’re changing the format. For five weeks I’ve done a blow by blow recap of the episode intermixed with opinion and it was lengthy and time consuming and means that the boundaries between opinion and description were blurred to a point that it became hard to know where I ended and a bland recap began. Last thing I want is to just be a bland recap, that format doesn’t work well in text form.
Anyway, onto the most batshit insane episode of Drag Race All Stars.
